Sun, 24th Mar 2024

Microsoft has unveiled two new artificial intelligence (AI) powered personal computers (PCs), the Surface Pro 10 for Business and Surface Laptop 6 for Business. The devices use the latest Intel Core Ultra processors and represent a significant shift in customer-centric design, incorporating features specifically requested by business customers.

The new products introduce the novel Copilot key, a feature compatible with the Surface Pro keyboards, including the Surface Laptop 6. The Copilot key expedites access to top Windows AI experiences while being complemented by more ports, improved security, and custom anti-reflective displays. Commercial customers can also profit from Microsoft Adaptive Accessories for a more personalised usage experience.

Dedicated to delivering reliable performance and AI experiences, Microsoft, in partnership with Intel, has boosted the speed of Surface Laptop 6. The machine is now twice as fast as its equivalent model, Laptop 5, while Surface Pro 10 performs 53% faster than Pro 9. Performance enhancements have been made possible due to Microsoft's leadership in integrating Neural Processing Units (NPU) for driving AI experiences on PCs since 2019.

The Surface Pro 10 for Business introduces extraordinary versatility and productivity, making it a suitable choice for teams that require an uncompromising device. The device is 5G ready and adapts to users' needs, whether they are frontline workers in the field, running a conference, or navigating the corporate ecosphere. The inclusion of Microsoft Copilot, along with innovations in Windows 11 Pro, portends a new operational efficiency level for users.

The enhanced Surface Pro keyboards now feature the Copilot key, along with a bolder keyset delivering larger font, high contrast, and backlighting for more visibility and easier typing. Users can interact using touch gestures, voice commands, and handwritten prompts with Surface Slim Pen, per their convenience. In specific Microsoft 365 applications like OneNote, AI analyses handwritten notes, thereby saving time and augmenting productivity.

The new device embodies the most exceptional display ever shipped on a Surface Pro. The screen's luminosity has been increased by 33%, with a higher contrast ratio and a specially designed durable anti-reflective coating for optimal visual experience in all lighting conditions. Further, the device's Ultrawide Studio Camera is optimised for video calling. It provides a 144-degree field of view and employs AI-powered Windows Studio Effects for the best possible video call experience.

Surface Pro 10 ensures top-notch security with its multiple layers of protection and Enhanced Sign-in Security offered as default. An additional new NFC reader ensures easy, secure, password-less authentication with NFC security keys.

The Surface Laptop 6 for Business is a high-performance machine powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra H-Series processors. Improved thermal capacity ensures users experience minimal downtime when handling large data sets, creating marketing assets, or building critical applications. The machine also features a new Copilot key for easy AI access and data protection. Customers can select between 13.5 and 15-inch PixelSense touchscreen displays, with anti-reflective technology that reduces reflections by up to 50%. It also has a smart card reader for password-less login.

The firm is also conscious of its sustainability commitments, with Surface Laptop 6 and Surface Pro 10 utilising the highest recycled content in any of their PCs. Security is another vital area where Microsoft does not compromise, delivering devices based on Zero Trust security principles for optimum data protection. Surface Laptop 6 and Surface Pro 10 are available for pre-order, and shipping starts April 9, 2024.
