FYI, this story is more than a year old

MessageMedia Group recently announced an expansion of their executive team, with an eye on the channel.

The global business mobile messaging provider appointed Andrew Mumford as chief sales officer (CSO), in a move they say is in response to the increasing demand for business SMS and technology solutions.

Prior to MessageMedia Group, Mumford was regional sales director at Mulesoft and has over 15 years' experience in sales, marketing and consulting management having been part of executive leadership teams for brands and business leaders across technical software, service and consulting businesses.

Mumford's new role will see him leading the company's global sales, channel and marketing operations, whilst continuing and accelerating its global growth.

According to MessageMedia Group, as CSO Mumford is tasked with creating a channel culture that breeds disruptive thinking; empowering partners and clients to build API driven intelligent communication paths through OMNI channel messaging.

Founder and board member Grant Rule has been at the helm of the ship for the new executive leadership team over the past 12 months, and he asserts the continued expansion of the team follows a period of rapid business development, largely supported by the escalating innovations in SMS and business messaging solutions.

Rule says the new appointment will accelerate the company's global footprint and investment in next generation technology to drive rapid product and sales innovation.

“With over 15 years experience in the IT sector, Andrew Mumford is a leading business and technology-based sales executive, who will contribute significantly to MessageMedia Group's expansion in the industry globally,' Rule says.

MessageMedia Group has been delivering mobile messaging solutions for businesses since its inception in 2000.
