Mate partners with beIN to offer free sports access

Today

MATE has partnered with beIN SPORTS to provide its customers access to global sports content at no additional cost.

Under this new collaboration, new subscribers to MATE's nbn internet or mobile plans will receive a complimentary beIN SPORTS CONNECT subscription for the duration of their service contract with MATE. This move will provide sports enthusiasts with access to premier football leagues such as Serie A, LALIGA, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, the English Football League, and ATP and WTA Tour Tennis.

The partnership is timed just before the Carabao Cup Final between Liverpool and Newcastle United, scheduled for 17 March. This arrangement allows sports fans to enjoy high-quality telco services without having to commit to long-term contracts while also benefiting from complimentary sports content.

Sports fans currently paying for streaming or telco services elsewhere might find value in switching to MATE, given the free beIN SPORTS CONNECT subscription. This offer enables uninterrupted access to live sports events and exclusive content, potentially decreasing monthly entertainment expenses.

Mark Fazio, Co-CEO of MATE, stated, "MATE is all about providing incredible value to our customers. We know the telco space is highly competitive, and we need to go above and beyond to stand out. Partnering with beIN SPORTS lets us offer something unique—helping sports fans save on streaming costs while getting premium internet or mobile service. It's a win-win for everyone."

John Armitage, Director, Distribution & Country Manager, Australia & New Zealand for beIN SPORTS, commented, "This partnership reflects our commitment to bringing world-class sports coverage to as many Australians as possible. In today's world, fans are always prioritising value, but internet and mobile to stream their favourite team is an essential. By choosing MATE, customers get the services they need while accessing the sports they love at no extra cost."

This offering from MATE and beIN SPORTS CONNECT is being marketed as a way for sports enthusiasts to avoid choosing between the Internet, mobile services, or live sports coverage. The deal aims to deliver a combined service experience without additional charges to the customer.
