Local companies bring home the Team Polycom awards

Optus Business, Smartpresence, AGC Networks and Communicloud have taken out key awards at Team Polycom 2016.

The company’s annual partner conference, held this year in Nashville, Tennessee, saw Polycom recognising partner companies from around the world.

Polycom says the awards recognise partners who ‘excel at incorporating value-added solutions and services which create lasting value for customers’.

Optus Business took out the Australia and New Zealand award for Circle of Excellence Partner of the Year Achiever, with New Zealand’s Smartpresence winning APAC Excellence in Industry for Australia and New Zealand for the second year in a row.

Communicloud was named APAC Excellence in Innovation winner for Australia and New Zealand.

AGC Networks, which has an ANZ presence, was named Growth Partner of the Year.

Dimension Data was named Systems Integrator of the Year in the global Circle of Excellence section of the awards, which also saw Microsoft named Alliance Partner of the Year. 8x8, which sells its enterprise cloud solutions in Australia through partners enTrust ICT and CSG, took out the top award for Service Provider of the Year.

Progility Technologies, which has an ANZ presence, was named Asia Pacific Partner of the Year.

Geoff Thomas, Polycom Asia Pacific president, says partners are critical for Polycom.

“As the modern workplace rapidly goes through a digital and business transformation, customer environments and needs are changing,” Thomas says.

“Our partners are a critical part of the Polycom family, working with customers every day to meet their business needs and provide the right solutions.”

Distribution Partner of the Year for APAC in the Global Polycom Circle of Excellence category, went to Nanjing Southern Telecom, with Digital China picking up the Distributor of the Year in the Circle of Excellence Awards for Asia Pacific. Otsuka picked up Partner of the Year for Asia Pacific in the APAC section.
