FYI, this story is more than a year old

Ingram Micro is ramping up its cloud services across Asia Pacific with the appointment of Richard Duggan as executive director for Cloud APAC.

The industry veteran will be responsible for driving the region's cloud revenue and profit margin, establishing key cloud partnerships with affiliates, developing and expanding cloud business operations and heading the region's overall cloud market strategy.

Yesterday the company launched its Australian cloud marketplace, which enables resellers to directly purchase, provision, price and invoice unique Office 365 bundles from a single dashboard.

The New Zealand version is due to launch in the third quarter of 2015.

Duggan says cloud computing is experiencing accelerated growth across the region with a huge amount of untapped potential as organisations seek to transform customer experience and drive new revenue streams.

Renee Bergeron, Ingram Micro vice president of global cloud computing, says Asia Pacific plays a critical role in the future of cloud computing.

“Richard's demonstrated expertise will help Ingram Micro execute against our global cloud strategy while enabling our regional channel partners to transform and grow their business in the cloud,” Bergeron says.

Duggan has held senior leadership roles in cloud and channel at companies including Telstra Global and Cisco Systems. Most recently he was director of cloud sales Asia Pacific and Japan at HP.
