Infor has announced the completion of its acquisitions of Albanero, a data migration and management partner, and Acumen, a highly-specialised consulting company focusing on Revenue Growth Management. These acquisitions are expected to bolster Infor's efforts to help its customers translate industry-centric data into meaningful opportunities for growth.
Kevin Samuelson, CEO of Infor, stated, "Infor's strategy remains fiercely focused on helping customers unlock core value drivers within their industry-specific operations. The next wave of innovation is completely data-driven, and generating real value from it begins with a secure industry-rich data foundation. Both Albanero and Acumen advance this core strategy by offering customers contextualised meaning to their industry-specific data within their core ERP systems."
Albanero has been a partner of Infor since 2022, bringing its data migration and management capabilities to Infor's clientele. The company's data mesh platform supports customers in migrating, structuring, and governing data as a service across Infor's CloudSuite solutions and from external sources such as SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Sage, and NetSuite. The plan to embed the Data Mesh platform capabilities within Infor OS aims to offer customers a consolidated enterprise view of their data. This will allow midmarket customers to leverage advanced technologies such as GenAI on top of a robust data foundation, facilitating business differentiation.
Albanero's services, which are currently available for Infor's CloudSuite for Food & Beverage, Fashion, and Distribution industries, illustrate the existing partnership between the two companies. Bruce Douglas, Founder and CEO of Albanero, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition: "We are thrilled to become part of the Infor family. This union represents a significant milestone for both companies, combining our innovative data mesh capabilities with Infor's extensive industry expertise. Together, we are poised to deliver unparalleled data management solutions that will empower businesses to harness the full potential of their data." Manish Sharma, Founder and CTO of Albanero, added, "Cloud technologies have enabled Albanero to innovate in how data is managed. We are excited to provide Infor customers with a decentralised data mesh solution that puts the power of their data back into their business."
Acumen, which focuses on consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturers, offers specialised consulting and analytics services to drive smarter decision-making and optimise promotional investments. The integration of Acumen into Infor's CloudSuite for Food & Beverage and Fashion will enable customers to establish a single source of truth for decision-making while increasing the volume of industry-specific data available for building new technologies and capabilities.
Nick Ryan, Co-Founder of Acumen, commented, "We are excited to become part of Infor, bringing our CPG Revenue Management software solutions and strategic consulting practice into the Infor portfolio. Joining Infor will enable us to leverage the latest Infor technologies to enhance our platforms and speed to market, while enabling us to continue to grow our client base and extend our geographic reach." Co-Founder Matt Wills added, "We are so proud of the team we've built, the business we've established, and the clients we work with. The Infor acquisition will allow us to offer great opportunities to our team and speed up our time to value for our clients."
Both acquisitions were finalised on 1 July 2024. Financial terms have not been disclosed. It is reported that the founders of both companies, along with their employees – a total of 160 individuals – will transition into the Infor organisation.
