Hemisphere Technologies has been named Kaspersky Lab's APAC Distributor of the Year for 2014.

'Exceptional sales', successful network development, marketing and channel development activities and providing a high level of technical support to partners were instrumental in Hemisphere Technologies taking out the award, which was presented at the 7th Annual Kaspersky Lab APAC Summit in Dubai.

Peter Phokos, Hemisphere Technology managing director, says he over the past year Hemisphere has grown significantly, but remains 100% committed to its channel partners.

“I could not be more proud of our team; their tireless efforts and ‘whatever it takes' attitude has proven we really can accomplish anything we put our minds to,” he says.

In February, the information security solutions distributor bolstered its ANZ portfolio, signing an ANZ distribution deal with MailGuard to add a cloud security offering to its line-up.

That deal followed a series of partnership signings, with Hemisphere Technologies also signing distribution deals with AlienVault, Beyond Trust and Endian, all with six months.

The company says the new vendor's round out its offerings and complement the long standing partnership with Kaspersky Lab.
