Gallagher & ADT mark 25 years of trusted partnership

Thu, 20th Feb 2025

Gallagher Security and ADT have celebrated 25 years of their partnership, highlighting the impact of long-term collaborations in the security sector.

Gallagher, a global security manufacturer known for its access control, perimeter security, and intrusion detection systems, has collaborated with ADT, a prominent player in the Australian security market, on various projects over the past quarter-century. Starting with a mining project in Queensland, their work together has positioned them as strong partners in Australia.

Scott Johnstone, National Sales Manager for Gallagher Security in Australia, noted the success of their collaboration, stating, "Gallagher and ADT have held a united front to market for many years. Trust, competency, and communication have been a yardstick for what can be achieved when two partners are all in, and that is an incredible edge in a competitive landscape."

Geoff Campbell-Brown, General Manager for ADT Security Australia, shared his perspective on the partnership. "One of the most unique aspects of our partnership is the genuine, longstanding relationship we've built over the years. Trust and honesty have been the foundation of our collaboration, allowing us to overcome challenges and deliver exceptional results together," he stated.

In 2023, ADT became the first Premium Partner for Gallagher's SMB cloud-based access control solution. This milestone underscores the depth and effectiveness of their collaboration, which currently supports over 140 joint customers across Australia.

Several projects stand out in the history of their partnership. One such project was with the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) in Canberra, which Scott Johnstone cited as important in the early days of their work together. The system they installed then is still in operation and undergoing upgrades.

Geoff Campbell-Brown highlighted another significant project, the implementation of the Training and Access Management System (TAMS) for a mining operation in the Bowen Basin. "This project significantly improved site safety and compliance. Despite the complexity of the project, the strength of our partnership allowed us to successfully navigate challenges, ensuring a seamless outcome that exceeded customer expectations," he commented.

The strength of the partnership has been evident during challenging times, as Scott Johnstone noted the importance of high trust and confidence between the two parties to tackle difficult situations. Geoff Campbell-Brown agreed, emphasising the "like-mindedness" and customer-centric focus shared by both organisations.

Both companies attribute their success to this shared commitment and ability to deliver customised solutions. This collaboration has led to several innovations evolving into licensable features, enhancing their market offerings and leadership.

Looking to the future, the two companies are enthusiastic about their shared goals and ambitions. Scott Johnstone said, "The ADT of today is hungrier and more agile than ever before. The lofty goals ADT has set align perfectly with Gallagher's own, and we have linked arms again to get after them together."

Dennison Hambling, Managing Director at Intelligent Monitoring Group, added, "As ADT continues its progress back to the forefront of the commercial market, we see immense opportunity for growth. We're excited about innovating our approach and expanding the scope of our collaboration, bringing even more innovative solutions to the market in the future."

The partnership between Gallagher Security and ADT exemplifies what can be achieved through trust and a shared commitment to excellence, marking a significant benchmark in the security industry over the past 25 years and continuing into the future.
