Fujitsu wins $80m managed infrastructure services deal
Fujitsu has signed an $80 million managed infrastructure services contract with global financial services company Link Group.
The deal will see Link Group's existing Western Australian businesses and Superpartners – which Link Group recently acquired – migrated to Fujitsu's delivery model currently in place for Link Group's Eastern states operations.
Fujitsu will provide service desk, service delivery management, end-user services, network management, infrastructure support, data center and project services, delivered onsite, onshore and offshore, via Fujitsu's global delivery centre and local resources.
Link Group expects to realise 'significant' annual savings in IT spending under the five year agreement.
John McMurtrie, Link Group managing director, says the company is driving growth, end-user productivity and shareholder value while holding sensitive company and financial information.
"By continuing our proven relationship with Fujitsu we know we'll receive the best value for our IT spend over the next five years," McMurtrie says.
"In addition, we will continue to work with Fujitsu to ensure the highest standards relative to the security of data.
McMurtrie says the predictable IT costs delivered by the agreement will enable Link Group to better plan over the medium term.
