FYI, this story is more than a year old

Former Oracle exec, Martin Mackay, is set to join CA Technologies as the president and general manager for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ).

His predecessor Kenneth Arredondo will be working through with Mackay until the end of March next year to ensure a smooth transition for partners, employees and customers.

Mackay will be based in Singapore and will report directly to Adam Elster, the president of CA's global field operations.

“We are pleased to have an executive of Martin's calibre join the team,” says Elster.

“I am confident that Martin will lead this team to new growth and to continue to help our customers and partners leverage IT to transform their business and create lasting value. I'd like to thank Ken for building the fundamentals towards sustainable growth for CA in the region.

In his new role, Mackay will be responsible for driving growth by helping customers and partners leverage new business opportunities in the application economy.

“As we help our customers through their digital transformation journey, Adam and I have never been more confident in our strategy and the opportunity that lies ahead of us,” adds Arredondo.

“With Martin on board, we can further build on the successes that we have achieved, continue to deliver exceptional customer experiences and take CA to new horizons in APJ.

Mackay has nearly 30 years of experience within the technology industry leading enterprise software, channel and inside sales teams in Europe, the US and APJ.

Within those 30 years, Mackay has held leadership roles with major multi-nationals, including PeopleSoft/Oracle and Verisign. He has also served as the CEO of Neverfail, a secure cloud solutions provider, and Calyx Managed Services.

“I am excited about working with the team in APJ, and further building CA's business in this fast growing market," says Mackay.

“With our comprehensive portfolio of solutions and the support of our partners, we are well positioned in this region to help our customers better plan, build, manage and secure their applications."
