Familiar face takes on partner role for Microsoft Australia

FYI, this story is more than a year old

Mark Leigh has taken over the role of Microsoft Australia's small mid-market solutions and partner lead, taking over from David Gage.

Pip Marlow, Microsoft Australia managing director, says the appointment is effective immediately. Gage, who has been in the role since late 2013, will move on from Microsoft at the end of this month.

Marlow notes that Leigh will be a familiar face for many in the reseller channel.

A long-time Microsoft employee Leigh started with the company in 2003 as industry manager, communications and media sector. Over the years he has held roles with Microsoft Australia including director of enterprise operations, director of solution sales and, most recently, director of marketing and operations.

Leigh says he's ‘thrilled' to have the opportunity to lead the small mid-market solutions and partner team.

“I've watched this business grow rapidly over several years and I am proud of the work that you do to help our customers achieve more,” he says. “I look forward to connecting with all of you in the coming weeks.

Marlow says Gage led the small mid-market solutions and partner team through a ‘critical time in Microsoft's transformation.

“I know he has supported many of you in delivering some extraordinary things for our customers,” Marlow wrote on Microsoft's Partner Blog.

“I'd like to thank David for all that he has done and wish him the very best in the next phase of his career,” Marlow adds.
