FYI, this story is more than a year old

Eset has released the latest version of a number of its business offerings, providing a range of new features.

The 100% channel-focused vendor says the version 6.2 of Eset Remote Administrator, Eset File Security for Microsoft Windows Server and Eset Endpoint Antivirus for OS X offerings include several new features and improvements under the hood.

Michal Jankech, Eset product manager, says the updates are the result of ‘carefully listening to the needs of our customers'.

The Eset Remote Administrator web-based console now includes optional two-factor authentication long-in protection, allowing companies to protect up to 10 admin accounts for free.

Meanwhile, its Eset File Security for Microsoft Windows Server now includes Hyper-V storage scan capability, allowing admins to inspect files on virtual machines without having another instance of antivirus in place, saving server resources.

Rounding out the updates, the latest version of Eset Endpoint Antivirus for OS X includes a new layer of data access protection with Device Control.

Eset says Device Control makes it possible to block unauthorised devices like CDs, DVDs or USBs from the system and enables admins to create rules for user groups in order to comply with company policies.
