Dynatrace joins Her Tech Circle to boost gender equity
Dynatrace has been appointed a National Partner by Her Tech Circle to support efforts aimed at increasing gender equity in the Australian tech industry.
Her Tech Circle notes that women represent only 28 percent of Australia's tech workforce and hold just 16 percent of tech leadership roles.
Additionally, women in tech earn on average 20 percent less than their male counterparts. The organisation aims to address these disparities by fostering a supportive environment for women's career advancement.
As a National Partner, Dynatrace will support Her Tech Circle's events and initiatives focused on career development for women in the technology sector. These efforts seek to promote inclusive workplaces and highlight educational and mentorship opportunities.
A series of events are planned for the upcoming year under this partnership. These include the "Career Kickstarter," which will offer career advice, interview coaching, and feedback on resumes and LinkedIn profiles. Another event is the "Mentor Masterclass," where attendees will be guided to develop personal elevator pitches and participate in workshops with senior women in tech.
The partnership will also host "Executive Dinners," aimed at creating a supportive environment for senior women and allies to discuss industry issues impacting women and explore ways to empower future leaders.
Renece Brewster, Co-Managing Director, Her Tech Circle, commented, "At Her Tech Circle, we're driven by a shared vision of a tech industry where women are equally represented, valued, and empowered to thrive."
"Our partnership with Dynatrace is a powerful step towards achieving this goal. Together, we're committed to creating a supportive community that fosters intentional bravery, challenges the status quo, and equips women with the confidence and skills to claim their rightful place in tech leadership. We're grateful for Dynatrace's belief in our mission and look forward to working on initiatives that spark meaningful change and pave the way for a more inclusive and diverse Australian tech industry."
Dynatrace's partnership with Her Tech Circle aligns with its internal initiatives that aim to create an inclusive work environment. These initiatives include the "Dynaspace for Women," which supports female employees.
The company also sponsors "Sistas in Sales," a programme focused on redefining sales leadership for women of colour.
Colleen Kozak, Senior Vice President and Chief Transformation Officer at Dynatrace, said, "Diversity of thought is essential to driving innovation. At Dynatrace, we foster an environment that respects and celebrates diverse backgrounds, opinions, and experiences."
"In doing so, we bring extraordinary ideas to the table, ensuring we're able to deliver the best solutions and outcomes for Dynatrace, our customers, and employees. In my role as exec sponsor for Dynatrace's women's employee resource group, I look forward to partnering with Her Tech Circle to support its efforts to achieve gender equity in the tech industry while also supporting events and initiatives that will help highlight the opportunities available to women and promote the importance of inclusive and welcoming workplaces."
Her Tech Circle, established in July 2024 following the closure of Girls in Tech HQ, currently includes around 18,000 members.
