DigiCert recruits seasoned CMO Atri Chatterjee in quest for $1bn revenue
DigiCert has announced the strategic expansion of their executive leadership team, welcoming experienced CMO Atri Chatterjee on board. The new appointment forms part of the organisation's bid to reach $1 billion and beyond in annual recurring revenue.
In his new role as Chief Marketing Officer, Chatterjee will spearhead the worldwide marketing construes to uplift the DigiCert brand. He will be responsible for developing and launching their digital trust initiatives and campaigns, whilst working closely with sales and product organisations to drive revenue.
Prior to DigiCert, Chatterjee served as CMO at ForgeRock for a five year period, staying on until its substantial $2.3B acquisition by Thoma Bravo and subsequent merge with Ping Identity. During his tenure at ForgeRock, Chatterjee evolved a go-to-market strategy that impressively increased the company's annual recurring revenue nearly fourfold in just five years, and positioned the organisation as a leading name in identity and access management solutions.
Chatterjee's impressive résumé also includes CMO positions with cloud security leader Zscaler and Act-On Software, a SaaS marketing automation and revenue optimisation provider. Moreover, he has held senior marketing positions in globally recognised B2B security technology companies such as Symantec, VeriSign, McAfee, and CipherTrust.
Amit Sinha, DigiCert's CEO, observed that Chatterjee's experience in scaling global marketing organisations and his market experience align well with DigiCert's drive towards significant goals in annual recurring revenue. "He is a seasoned CMO with security market experience, product acumen, operational excellence in driving demand, and a reputation for building high-performance marketing teams. We are excited to expand our executive leadership team with Atri and look forward to seeing his contributions to DigiCert's success".
Chatterjee himself has marked the appointment as a notable opportunity given the escalating challenges faced by organisations in establishing online trust, due to the surge in malicious use of AI and the rising prominence of quantum computing. He stated, "This is a rare chance to work with the industry leader in digital trust, who is at the forefront of shaping the security landscape of the future."
The appointment of Chatterjee indicates DigiCert's seriousness in achieving its objective, by harnessing the experience of a seasoned executive to add momentum to its drive toward an ambitious target in annual recurring revenues.
