Dell Technologies unveils 2024 Partner Program to boost profits & growth

Tue, 6th Feb 2024

The Dell Technologies Partner Program for 2024 was unveiled overnight, promising enhanced profit potential and increased collaborative opportunities for partners, as well as an intense focus on critical areas of growth. The 2024 program would continue Dell Technologies' forty-year legacy of driving human progress together with its partners.

The strategic updates to the partner program for the upcoming year include the addition of three new competencies focusing on the key growth areas, a streamlined profit model through selling Dell APEX Infrastructure offerings, Dell PowerFlex, and Client+ and ProSupport Plus and, finally, the inclusion of Project Harmony into Partner ProServices. The partner program changes are predicated on the strong partnerships that have, in the past, contributed approximately 50% of the net revenue and more than 60% of all new and reactivated buyers for Dell Technologies.

Rachel Porco, Director of Strategic Alliances at AHEAD, said, "In today's dynamic IT landscape, it is more important than ever to have a trusted partner like Dell Technologies who can help navigate the complexities of AI, multicloud, edge and cybersecurity. Dell provides us with the technology, expertise, and support we need to drive profitable growth and success for our clients."

The announcement of the Partner First Strategy for Storage last August led to a shift towards making customers and prospective customers "partner first" for storage. This resulted in a quadrupled number of accounts now eligible for storage Partner of Record (PoR) status, promoting increased collaboration between Dell sales team members and partners. Ramn Hasky, the Commercial Director of Unitech Rio, praised the program, saying, "The Dell Technologies Partner Program is built on collaboration and trust. They see us, partners, as an extension of Dell Technologies because we share very well aligned business values and vision."

With the 2024 program, Dell Technologies is also investing in key growth areas aligned with customer priorities. Three new competences introduced are the Data Science & AI Competency, Edge Solutions Competency, and Sustainability & ESG Competency. David Harris, a Modern Infrastructure Technology Specialist at Insight, endorsed the Sustainability & ESG competency, saying, "The new Corporate Sustainability and ESG Competency in the Dell Technologies Partner Program ensures we can help our customers make environmentally responsible technology decisions."

Dell's 2024 Partner Program further invests in partner collaboration by focusing on the Partner First Strategy for Storage and expanding eligibility for server PoR. Bob Venero, president and CEO of Future Tech Enterprise, praised this approach, saying, "Partner First Strategy for Storage doubles down on their commitment to partners, aligning with the market shift to channel-driven sales and paving the way for even greater growth and mutual success."

The program presents an optimistic outlook for the coming year, confident that with a strong partner program, differentiated business model and unwavering faith in the power of partnership, Dell Technologies is poised for another year of growth and transformation, building on their decades-long legacy of impactful innovation with their partners.
