Data#3 eyes international opportunities with Global IT Alliance
Mon, 7th Mar 2016
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Data#3 has joined the Global IT Alliance (GITA), opening the doors to new international opportunities for the company.

Gita was established in 2014 by European IT services company Bechtle AG and is designed to create a network of ‘carefully selected partners' for global companies that need providers and customer support around the world.

Laurence Baynham, Data#3 chief executive, says becoming a member of GITA allows Data#3 to partner with companies that can offer the same standards in international markets where Data#3 doesn't have physical offices.

“This means we can offer and implement solutions with consistent service level agreements for global customers, leveraging the alliance,” Baynham says.

Data#3 is the eighth company to join the alliance, which also includes New Zealand's Lexel, PC Connection in the United States, Atea in Scandinavia and the Baltic states, Datacentrix in South Africa, Japan's JBS, JOS in China, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia and Singapore, and the United States' PC Connection.

GITA is built on Bechtle's existing network of 66 IT system houses in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and eCommerce subsidiaries in 14 European countries.

“The alliance is consistent with our strategy to help customers achieve their business objectives, thorugh our partnership approach,” Baynham says.
