CrowdStrike partners with Omnissa for enhanced security

CrowdStrike has announced a collaboration with Omnissa to bring real-time threat detection and automated remediation to virtual and physical desktop environments, enhancing digital work experiences and productivity.

The partnership aims to address the challenges faced by IT teams in balancing the complexity of hybrid work while meeting employees' expectations for personalised experiences. The integration of the Omnissa Platform with CrowdStrike's Falcon cybersecurity platform will combine virtual desktop and application management, unified endpoint management (UEM), and endpoint security. This will provide organisations with enhanced threat visibility and interconnected threat detection to improve cyber resiliency in virtual environments.

The integration will allow administrators to swiftly identify and remediate any virtual desktops lacking the Falcon sensor. CrowdStrike's AI-native protection can then be rapidly deployed to those VDI sessions. Moreover, the Omnissa Platform is expected to ingest vulnerability and threat status data from the Falcon platform, enabling Workspace ONE UEM to centralise and expedite threat observation, risk assessment and automated remediation in both physical and virtual desktops.
