Cradlepoint & Switch MSP to improve Australian connectivity
Cradlepoint, a global expert in cloud-delivered LTE and 5G wireless network edge solutions announced a partnership with Managed Service Provider (MSP) Switch in Australia. This alliance is creating an overall managed solution for some of their customers, incorporating Cradlepoint's product offering.
A notable client of this partnership is Renascent, a national construction company specialising in fit-out and refurbishment projects. With more than 30 active building sites at any given time, Renascent previously relied on Wi-Fi dongles for connectivity. However, this proved challenging to manage and monitor, leading to a loss of productivity due to poor and inconsistent connectivity.
Switch offered Renascent a managed solution utilising Cradlepoint's connectivity across all operational sites. Cradlepoint's IBR900 Wireless WAN routers provide highly reliable and stable internet connections, which are beneficial even at remote and environmentally challenging sites.
Andrew Juda, Renascent's Chief Operational Officer, notes, "The construction industry is going entirely paperless. We need strong and reliable internet access. Not only does it affect productivity, but it also impacts our professionalism in the industry."
This solution also affords centralised device management via Cradlepoint NetCloud Manager, streamlining software updates and enhancing device security. This has simplified administrative tasks.
Brett Alexander, the Systems Manager at Renascent, emphasises that Cradlepoint's Wi-Fi solutions offer a significantly improved experience, characterised by faster connectivity and stable internet connections. He states, "Cradlepoint provides a much higher quality Wi-Fi experience, delivering faster connectivity and a stable internet connection, allowing the sites to function more effectively."
The partnership between Cradlepoint and Switch has also benefited Guardian Childcare and Education, an organisation consisting of over 150 childcare centres in key locations across metropolitan areas of NSW, VIC, ACT, QLD, and SA. Providing care and education to more than 10,000 children each day, the organisation requires consistent connectivity and reliable internet to remain compliant and ensure the safety and security of the children at its centres.
Guardian Childcare faced several issues with reliable internet availability. In scenarios of national broadband network failure, their centres risked being entirely cut off from the internet. The solution provided by Switch via NetCloud Manager ensured reliable failover in case of such events, significantly reducing the risk for the business.
Keith Hopkins, the IT Manager at Guardian Childcare and Education, is pleased with the implementation of the combined broadband network and Cradlepoint wireless solutions. He expresses satisfaction: "We now have peace of mind knowing we have combined broadband network and Cradlepoint wireless solutions to provide us with always-on, reliable connectivity."
Improving their efficiency and productivity, David Tibben, CTO at Switch, highlights, "Combining Cradlepoint and NetCloud Manager with our existing products and services enables us to provide top level service and support for our customers. Customer outages and internet dropouts are a thing of the past."
