Arctic Wolf completes acquisition of Blackberry's Cylance

Arctic Wolf has completed its acquisition of Blackberry's Cylance, integrating its capabilities into the Arctic Wolf Aurora platform.

Both companies signed a definitive agreement on 15 December 2024 regarding the acquisition of BlackBerry's Cylance endpoint security assets by Arctic Wolf. The successful completion of this deal marks a significant development for Arctic Wolf.

Blackberry's Chief Executive Officer, John Giamatteo, stated, "We are pleased to have successfully closed this pivotal transaction for BlackBerry and look forward to continuing our relationship with Arctic Wolf as a customer, as a reseller of the portfolio to our large government customers, and as a shareholder of this dynamic, growing company."

Aurora Endpoint Security, part of the Arctic Wolf platform, now extends its AI-driven prevention and detection capabilities directly to endpoints. This integration provides enhanced security solutions utilising the data from over 10,000 customers and observing more than 7 trillion security events weekly. The offerings under Aurora Endpoint Security are divided into four solutions: Aurora Protect, Aurora Endpoint Defence, Aurora Managed Endpoint Defence On-Demand, and Aurora Managed Endpoint Defence.
