AI leader Mark Brayan joins SenSen Networks as new chairman
SenSen Networks, a Melbourne-based provider of Live Awareness AI solutions, has appointed Mark Brayan as its new Non-Executive Chairman and Director. Brayan will commence his role on 1 May 2024, succeeding the company's founder, Dr Subhash Challa, who will continue as Managing Director and CEO.
Brayan brings extensive experience in the AI technology sector, having held several leadership positions in both public and private companies. His most notable tenure was as the CEO and Managing Director of Appen Limited from 2015 to 2023. During this period, he transformed Appen into the world's premier supplier of AI data and services through significant organic growth, strategic acquisitions, product development, and new market entries.
Brayan's educational background includes an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management and a First-Class Honours Bachelor of Surveying Degree from the University of New South Wales. He is currently a Non-Executive Director at Integrated Research, an Australian firm known for providing global performance management solutions.
In accordance with SenSen's constitution and the ASX Listing Rules, Brayan will hold his Director position until the next annual general meeting, where he will need to seek election. His remuneration package includes AUD $90,000 per annum, excluding superannuation. Additionally, he is proposed to receive unlisted options equivalent to AUD $180,000 in three tranches over three years, subject to shareholder approval. The tranches include 1,500,000 options at AUD $0.04 per option, 800,000 options at AUD $0.075 per option, and 600,000 options at AUD $0.10 per option.
