Advent One joins Red Hat Partner Practice Accelerator Program
Automation specialist Advent One has announced its acceptance into the Red Hat Partner Practice Accelerator Program, marking it as the first partner in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region to join this prestigious initiative. With over 25 years of experience, Advent One continues its mission to provide innovative infrastructure and automation solutions for organisations across Australia.
The exclusive Red Hat Partner Practice Accelerator Program invites only a select group of global partners who have demonstrated advanced technical knowledge and robust business practices in Red Hat professional services, particularly in automation and infrastructure development. This new role positions Advent One as trusted experts, validated by Red Hat, capable of architecting, implementing and driving successful automation projects tailored for commercial customers.
John Twine, CEO of Advent One, highlighted the company's commitment to enhancing Red Hat skills for commercial organisations in Australia. He stated, "Our investment in upskilling the Advent One team, and subsequent acceptance into the program, ensures that commercial and mid-sized organisations in Australia have reliable and economical access to Red Hat expertise. We're often approached by organisations struggling with automation across cloud, infrastructure, and security services due to a lack of necessary skills or technical complexity."
Talor Holloway, Chief Technology Officer of Advent One, spoke on the rigorous selection process for the Red Hat Accelerator Program, noting, "Acceptance into the program isn't merely based on software sales or certifications. We were required to demonstrate our ability to architect and implement impactful Red Hat Ansible and Red Hat OpenShift solutions tailored to the unique environments of commercial organisations."
During this assessment process, Advent One showcased their Red Hat Ansible playbooks and strong methodology, focussing on discovery, sizing, delivery types, and platform usage to ensure the successful delivery of key automation initiatives. Holloway added, "Our expertise and strategies often rival those in the enterprise space, and we have seen numerous customers demanding more of our unique frameworks once they witness how automation accelerates their projects and scales IT services without increasing headcount."
Offering guidance to commercial organisations beginning their automation journey, Holloway advised, "Start small and scale up by automating repetitive tasks like patching. Work with an experienced team to pilot initial initiatives and upskill your team along the way. Once underway, explore opportunities for tool consolidation or major events like migrations where automation can streamline processes. Typically, we bring our customers to this stage within six months, making it feasible to integrate mission-critical applications and maximise automation benefits."
Garry Gray, Senior Director and Head of Ecosystems, Australia & New Zealand at Red Hat, praised Advent One's customer-centric approach and innovation. "The current challenge and infinite opportunity for us lie in areas like artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and edge computing. As the hybrid cloud landscape evolves, our approach requires constant evaluation, collaboration, and adjustment based on customers' unique needs. Partners like Advent One are crucial in this journey. We are thrilled to welcome them into the Red Hat PartnerAcceleration Program, which will allow us to drive more impactful innovation for our customers."
