FYI, this story is more than a year old

Accenture has acquired CS Technology with the aim of expanding its cloud first infrastructure engineering capabilities. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

CS Technology is a technology management consulting firm and provider of digital transformation services.

The company offers a broad range of cloud infrastructure engineering capabilities with strengths in the areas of cloud strategy and migration, data center and modern workplace technologies.

According to Accenture, the addition of CS Technology will boost Accenture Cloud First's capabilities in hybrid infrastructure engineering.

This will enhance Accenture’s portfolio of cloud services, that is aimed at helping clients take full advantage of cloud and distributed edge computing platforms and executing the best strategy to optimise the return on their cloud investments.

Accenture Cloud First global lead Karthik Narain says, “Accenture’s acquisition of CS Technology expands the hybrid cloud infrastructure capabilities our clients need to become cloud-first enterprises and realise value faster.

"The emerging applications of tomorrow require a range of technologies across the cloud continuum. Companies must evolve their technology infrastructure in a compressed timeframe, which requires moving quickly and with confidence.

"The addition of CS Technology better positions Accenture Cloud First to design and execute fit-for-purpose, hybrid cloud strategies that achieve measurable business outcomes.”

Established in 1992 and with headquarters in New York, CS Technology has offices in London, Melbourne and Sydney.

CS Technology currently serves clients across many industry sectors, including financial services, retail and pharmaceutical, among others. CS Technology also holds strategic ecosystem partnerships with OEMs, data center providers and major cloud providers.

Globally, the acquisition of CS Technology adds to Accenture more than 100 professionals with various accreditations in cloud, workplace, project management and engineering.

These capabilities complement and extend Accenture’s Cloud First services in support of each clients growing needs for digital, cloud and data center transformation and hybrid working environments, the company states.

CS Technology also brings specialised skills that sit at the intersection of business strategy, technology innovation and the mission critical assets that deliver and support those capabilities.

CS Technoogy CEO John Rosato says, “For nearly 30 years, our CS Technology team has delivered transformative technology strategies and solutions that are married to our clients business outcomes, which is a requisite capability in the age of digital.

"Joining the Accenture team will collectively elevate our position as trusted advisors to our largest clients. Our deep specialisation and experience will be magnified through this acquisition and will enable us to better deliver on our clients complex cloud, data center, workplace and operating challenges.”
