Endeavour Group appoints Claire Smith as Chief Information Officer
Claire Smith has been appointed as the new Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Australia's leading drinks and hospitality business, Endeavour Group. The appointment was announced today following an extensive recruitment process.
Claire, who joined Endeavour Group in 2012, has held several important roles in the company, including Head of Online for Dan Murphy's and Director of endeavourX. She has also held senior program and replenishment roles with Woolworths Group.
Endeavour Group CEO and Managing Director Steve Donohue expressed his confidence in Claire, saying: "Claire has been Interim CIO since November, during which time she has done a fantastic job of overseeing the Technology team and maintaining her leadership of endeavourX while continuing to enable the delivery of Endeavour Group's technology transformation plans."
Claire's appointment as CIO means that Steve Cuda will take on the role of Interim Director of endeavourX, while a further recruitment process is conducted. Both Claire and Steve will transition responsibilities in the coming weeks.
Claire said she was excited to step into the role of CIO permanently and looked forward to the new challenge, which would allow her to continue to drive Endeavour Group's strategy, building on the successes of the endeavourX team in recent years.
