D-Link’s latest 5-megapixel surveillance cameras

11 Mar 2019

D-Link, a provider of network-based home and business solutions, has added two new cameras to its Vigilance surveillance portfolio.

The DCS-4705E 5-Megapixel Outdoor Mini Bullet Camera and the DCS-4605EV 5-Megapixel Outdoor Dome Camera offer businesses of any size easy to install, 24/7 protection with modern features and capabilities.

The two cameras have been designed with robustness and durability in mind and are able to withstand a range of adverse conditions.

The IP66 rated waterproof housing ensures that the cameras can withstand high levels of rain and dust as well as temperatures ranging -30 to 50 °C.

Additionally, the DCS-4605EV dome camera’s IK10 vandal proof housing makes it ideal for environments where there is the potential for the camera being damaged or tampered with.

Both the DCS-4705E mini bullet camera and the DCS-4605EV dome camera are suitable for a wide range of outdoor and indoor environments such as carparks, entrances to buildings and pathways.

Both cameras include PoE support allowing for placement in a variety of locations without the need for additional power cabling or sockets.

Both cameras are integrated with 5-megapixel image sensors, supporting resolutions up to 2048 x 1536, ensuring that even the smallest detail is captured, from faces to number plates.

Support for the latest H.265 High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) standard maximises network bandwidth for enhanced quality.

3D noise reduction (3DNR) and wide dynamic range (WDR) are also included in both cameras to further enhance the quality of footage captured in challenging lighting conditions.

IR LEDs and automatic IR-Cut filter enable the cameras to be effective in all lighting environments from complete darkness to areas with high levels of contrast.
