Brennan IT launches hybrid secure SD-WAN
Mon, 11th Nov 2019
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Managed services provider Brennan IT has launched Hybrid Secure SD-WAN which utilises a Hybrid Networking approach.

Hybrid Networking refers to the intelligent and dynamic use of MPLS and broadband internet via SD-WAN at the branch to improve user application experience across privately and publicly-hosted applications, whilst maintaining external security and adding complete application visibility.

Optimising productivity and control, even as network edges become increasingly divergent, Brennan IT aims to offer carrier-agnostic and consistent management of varied environments tailored for individual organisations.

Whilst several new players are trying to position SD-WAN as simply corporate networks over the internet, Brennan IT's Hybrid SD-WAN truly delivers the end outcome of what this technology is intended to achieve by identifying and steering applications to provide optimal performance.

Through a partnership with Fortinet, a leading cybersecurity organisation, Brennan IT's Secure Hybrid SD-WAN solutions have a ‘recommended' rating for the first-ever test conducted by NSS Labs for SD-WAN.

Brennan IT CEO Stephen Sims says organisations already investing in Hybrid Cloud can receive double the benefit through investment in a hybrid networking solution.

“Combining traditional networking with SD-WAN is a great opportunity to maximise performance and ensure the best return on investment from both new and existing assets,” says Sims.

“By combining SD-WAN over internet with the tried and tested robustness of MPLS, organisations can optimise their bandwidths to meet the specific needs of their network applications and optimise the performance of their existing infrastructure.

“Coupling a Hybrid Networking approach to an organisation's Hybrid Cloud or Hybrid IT infrastructure will enable them to improve the performance, resilience, and security of all elements - it's a win-win.

Brennan IT has recently added a swathe of clients including McDonald's Australia, Inghams Enterprises, Audi Australia and Volkswagen Group Australia.

Brennan IT aims to support, transform, and manage the ICT infrastructure of more than 1,000 Australian companies.

Its capabilities span hybrid IT and networking, end-user services, UC and telephony, and cybersecurity.
